Did you know?

Egypt hosted two of the Ancient world's marvels: The Pyramid of Cheops and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. The Pyramid in Giza stands tall to this day - defiant to time and peoples. The lighthouse of Pharos Island on the shores of Alexandria was a 400 foot tall tower, featuring multiple mirrors and a  beacon of flame. It was reduced to rubble and collapsed into the Mediterranean Sea in the 13Th century after a series of earthquakes. French and Egyptian archeologists have discovered the remains of the years old Lighthouse and efforts are in place to begin excavating it from the bottom of the sea.

Come enjoy the sights, sounds and exotic flavors of this exciting cosmopolitan city. Discover the famous Pyramids of Giza, the majestic Sphinx and the ancient sites of Memphis and Sakkara.  Take to the streets as you stroll around the Coptic region with its  historic Christian churches and Coptic Museum.  Visit some of the many Islamic mosques with their sky piercing minarets.  See the treasures from King Tut's tomb at the Egyptian Museum.  Gaze in wonderment at the beautiful Alabaster mosque located high on the hill within the Citadel.  Bargain for gold and silver jewelry, leather goods and handicrafts at the Khan El Khalili Bazaar.  All these places and more await those who want to uncover the wonders of Egypt's grandest city.

Alexandria   "Pearl of the Mediterranean"

Breathe the salty air of this Mediterranean seaport as you trace the splendor of the city's glorious past.  Marvel at Pompeii's Pillar, the Roman Amphitheater, and the treasures at the Greco-Roman Museum - all testaments to Alexandria's position of power in the Greek and Roman Empire.  Other famous sites include the ancient Catacombs and the Ras El Tin Palace.  Within an hour's drive one can find the monasteries of Wadi El Natroun and the famous battleground of El Alamein.

Upper Egypt

The regions of Luxor and Aswan were home to many of Egypt's famous Pharoahs and Queens. Sinai Desert

The Sinai is rich in history and holy places as well.  On can climb the steps of Mt Sinai at sunrise to the site where Moses received the 10 commandments and then visit the famous Monastery of St Catherine with its beautiful mosaics.

Red Sea

A virtual paradise for divers, the Red Sea is recognized as one of the best dive sites in the world.  A myraid of exotic tropical fish, unique coral formations, and warm, aqua blue waters make for an unforgettable experience. On the west shore of Egypt, Hurghada's crescent shaped bay offers impressive snorkeling for the less adventurous swimmers as well as underwater viewing from a yellow submarine. The resort area of Sharm  El Sheikh at the tip of Sinai has many beaches and a variety of activities such as
swimming, diving, sunbathing, windsurfing, deep sea fishing, water skiing, and parasailing.
